  6. The Crimson Box is very simple device
  7. that will allow you to put someone on
  8. hold or make your fone busy with a
  9. large amount of ease. You flip a switch
  10. and the person can't hear you talking.
  11. Flip it back and everything is peechy.

  17. (1) 100 ohm or less resistor
  18. (1) SPDT toggle switch, On-On
  19. (3) feet of good wire
  20. Wire cutters
  21. Solder and soldering iron

  27. First I will give you the schematic and
  28. then I will explain what the hell is
  29. going on.

  41. Ok. The '/\/\/' is the resistor. And
  42. '1 2 3' is the switch where the numbers
  43. are the poles on the switch. Notice you
  44. leave the black and yellow wires alone.
  45. You DO NOT cut them!
  46.  
  47. Strip the red and green wires so you've
  48. got about an inch of bare wire. Solder
  49. some of the extra wire and follow the
  50. schematic. You should have the resistor
  51. on the green wire with an extra piece
  52. of wire coming from one leg of it. The
  53. other leg goes to the other end of the
  54. green wire. You should solder the green
  55. wire to the left pole of the switch and
  56. the red to the middle and the other
  57. end of the red to the right pole.

  59. Now, lift up the phone. If all you get
  60. is an annoying buzz then throw the
  61. switch and you should get a dial tone.
  62. If not, don't worry and just follow the
  63. instructions and schematic again.
